Publishing a book is not exactly an easy task. It takes quite a few people to turn a manuscript into a beautiful book that will make you proud.  I know it makes US proud!

When your manuscript arrives we go over its contents to make sure that it meets with our policies - no pornography, no damaging or untrue statements made publicly. We don't edit or even proof read it at that moment unless it was requested by the author - but WE DO read a few chapters within its content. 

If we find that the manuscript needs editing we will communicate with the author before we continue with our work.  Some of us know (because we have worked with other publishers) that they don't even READ the first chapter of your manuscript to see what the story is about. They accept it, bank the publishing fee, and then go and print your book. 

We have edited two books that were published by another publishing house in the US and were appalled to see so many mistakes by the author that were not corrected before printing!  Not only grammar errors like verbs badly used and other common mistakes, but also punctuation, no research whatsoever while writing, and no idea of language/utensils/way of life in a different era.    Remeber that accuracy is as important as grammar and linguistics.

After we submit the approved manuscript to our Interior Book Designer, it will be formatted according to our standards and those of the publishing world.

In about four weeks after submission you will be sent a proof book in PDF format and you will make corrections of changes. When you return the errata sheet to us, those corrections will be made to the manuscript and we will be ready to go into final print. You will also receive a PDF copy of your cover.

Your book will be featured here in our web site (in the Bookstore), together with its ISBN, the EAN barcode and the retail price.  By the way, the retail price is based on the number of pages your book has...  We'll also have a synopsis of the book together with its cover image.  You will be able to read about all the books we carry and order directly from the web site, and also, after you bought a book, you may write a review in the book page designated to the author.

We said at the beginning that publishing a book is not easy task - but it's a very enjoyable one!  To give someone the gift of seeing his work in print is priceless, and to hear authors call us or email us saying how very happy they are with their new book and how many wonderful words they have heard about it, is absolutely precious!

We also do work in Spanish: editing, proof reading, and publishing, following the same rules than the books in English.
