Our Services

When you submit your manuscript to us, we will go over it carefully to make sure that it is submitted the way it should be before printing. 

We will format it according to the book size you have chosen, but please always remember to tell us what font size you want.   Send us the extra file requested by us, which will contain a 300-word blurb for the back cover, your picture in 300 dpi or better, and a 1000-word synopsis that will go to the Internet distributors and to our own website. Once our Interior Book Designer has that information your book takes its first step.   We will keep you posted on anything extra that we do and you will always know where we are in the publishing process. 

We can also publish your book if it's written in Spanish, and to add to that service, we can also edit it in that language.

Please contact us if you wish more information regarding our hard cover option.  There are two types of covers available - one with a dust jacket depicting the cover illustration, and the other 'textbook style', that is, with the image printed on the actual cover.  The Michigan-based company that does those books for us needs detailed information before they can get us a price. 

For 'coffee table' style books we can also offer you a vellum page at the beginning, and this makes the book very elegant.

If you are thinking about adding a CD to your finished book - either with comments on your story, music, photos, historical marks, etc., please call our office at 517-541-2942.   We are offering this service at the moment but we need extra information from you before we quote a price.

 For your non fiction book we can also offer you a CD with your story, read by professional and talented public speakers... or, if you wish, by yourself.    Your book must be no longer than 10,000 words, or about 35 pages of printed text.

 If your book is longer than the wording required, you will be asked to condense its contents.

WHAT IS 'PAWPRINTS'?

We started a division of OMNI Books dedicated entirely to children's stories. It's called "Pawprints".  Our first story is an enchanting one written by a 7-year old called Samantha. Her story is about Tucker, a puppy that is usually in trouble because of his nosiness.

The book has illustrations depicting every page of the story, it is made in a thicker type of paper that will survive little hands, the colors are vivid and merry, and ther story itself is absolutely enchanting.

We congratulate Samantha for her ability to tell others the type of stories that she likes. We encourage parents to be on their children's side when they say they want to write; whether it's poetry or stories, children usually come up with treasures and these need to be kept in paper forever.

CUSTOM BOOK COVERS

Most writers already have an idea of what his book cover will look like, but they will still need to listen to our Graphic Designer to see what needs to be done as far as designing a cover.  Please contact us with your ideas, questions or concerns and we will put you in touch with our designer.   517-541-2942

SPANISH TRANSLATIONS

One of the many services that we can offer you is translations into Spanish, or from Spanish into English.  Our translator is not only a native speaker of that language but also holds a Master's Degree, and uses the method from the Madrid Royal Academy. As there are so many regional facets of the language, we use the one that is generic to all but will keep the slang characteristic to the country or region of the story.

Our translating fees may start at $4.00 per page, but if the book is larger than 250 pages we will give you a special rate according to the amount of work to be done. A call to us and a sample chapter will give us a better idea of this.
